I'm just back from the gig. It was really mad
. The gigs by The Music at home are always special. Wild wild wild at the front. The band, in top form, performed 16 songs
. They seemed to enjoy as much as the crowd. The highlights for me: Strength In Numbers, The Spike, Drugs, Fire, The People..., and the lovely Idle with Stu at the keyboards
. Took some pics and videos. I'll upload them asap
.
The setlist:
1. Take The Long Road And Walk It
2. The Spike
3. Freedom Fighters
4. Fire
5. Jag Tune
6. Drugs
7. Human
8. Strength In Numbers
9. The Truth Is No Words
10. Welcome To The North
11. Get Through It
12. Idle
13. The People
14. No Weapon Sharper Than A Will
15. Getaway
16. Bleed From Within (with Rob drumming on bongos
)
The gig in Manchester the previous day was brilliant too
. Exactly the same setlist in front of a crowd a little bit less wild
. I think this gig was the best I've ever seen by The Music, even better than London ICA a few years ago, still the reference for me
. Unfortunately, a nasty bouncer had decided to forbid the pics and the videos
. The problem... When you forbid, my friend, it's for everyone or noone. It's unfair to try to confiscate the camera of one person while all the cell phones around are filming. Double standards?
